You are invited to live the best experiences in El Salvador during the
Surf City ISA World Masters Surfing Championship

YACHT & SURF

From El Sunzal or El Zonte, we board the yacht with our jet-skies and go to different spots to surf and take pictures. We suggest testing the waves at KM 59 and Mizata. Food, drinks, and music on board. We advise you to carry light luggage and use dry bags.

FLY & SURF

Our helicopter will be waiting for you behind Punta Roca to fly over the coast for 35 minutes and land on the sands of the Punta Mango beach in the eastern part of the country, where you can go surfing. Meals and drinks are included at Los Mangos hotel-lookout on the cliff. We return in the afternoon.

GOLF & SURF

El Encanto golf course, an 18-hole golf course designed by Perry Dye, is located 20 minutes away from El Sunzal. Whatever your golf skills are, you are welcome. If it is your first time, we have a golf instructor and guide to accompany you to the drive and take your first strokes. We have clubs, balls, and a golf cart for you to enjoy the experience. Meals and drinks are included at the clubhouse.

FLY, FISHING & SURF

Our helicopter will be waiting for you behind Punta Roca to fly over the coast for 45 minutes and land at the Jaguey Aerodrome, in the department of La Union. We will go to the pier to board the boat with all the necessary fishing gear. On the way back, we will go to Casa del Golfo Boutique Hotel, in the Gulf of Fonseca, to have lunch, rest and return by helicopter in the afternoon. You can bring your board to catch a few waves in case you don’t have any luck with the fishing.

HISTORIC DISTRICT OF SAN SALVADOR

Located 45 minutes away from El Sunzal, you will find the renovated Historic District of San Salvador, an important part of the country’s cultural heritage and one of the main poles of investment and value enhancement. It has emblematic buildings from the late nineteenth century, where you can visit the National Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Theater, the newly opened Jardin Centroamerica Park, and the modern Library of El Salvador. New international restaurants, stores, and signature cafes await you on the streets of the district, an art nouveau combination that has attracted the attention of international developers and renowned hotel chains, thus creating a vibrant urban transformation that is worth being a part of.

CLIMBING THE ILAMATEPEC VOLCANO IN SANTA ANA

We leave in the morning by the Litoral highway, among cliffs, tunnels, lookouts, and lush vegetation we will border the coast to enter the coffee-growing area of El Salvador and reach the Cerro Verde natural park from where we will begin to climb the Ilamatepec volcano at 2,381 meters above sea level. The crater has a sulfur lake from where you can see the Coatepeque Lake. We have professional guides and park rangers to guide us throughout the tour. After descending from the crater, we will have lunch at Hotel Casa 1800, right in front of the volcano, and taste some coffee straight from the farm, which will be the perfect moment to take the last pictures of a great adventure.

TAZUMAL AND CASA BLANCA: ARCHEOLOGY AND HISTORY

Casa Blanca became the center of an important Maya lordship at the end of the Late Pre-classic period, where jaguar heads, fragments of stelae, and the remains of more than 30 people have been found, who seem to have been sacrificed as part of the war campaigns of that time. At the end of the Classic period, the ceremonial center of Casa Blanca moved to Tazumal. There, you will see a court of the famous Mayan ball game, a ceremonial pyramid of 24 meters, 13 other secondary structures, a system of aqueducts, and the emblematic 2.65 meters high Tazumal Stela. On the way back, you can enjoy lunch at the Nawi Hotel at the Mizata beach, which is also a perfect surfing spot to end the day.
