El Zonte is the main beach of the municipality of Chiltuipan, located at km 53 of the coastal highway. It is known as the most bohemian beach destination in the country, so much so that its regular visitors call it the “Pueblo loko”. It has two important surf spots separated by a river, with an inlet that generates long waves to the right, and to the left waves of very good quality for skateboarders.
